THE NSLM'S DUPLICATE BOOK SALE

The 2010 Duplicate Book Sale Catalogue will be mailed in September, with bids closing October 29. You must be a current donor in order to bid on books in the 2010 sale. For information on donating to the National Sporting Library & Museum, visit our donor information page.

The 2009 Duplicate Book Sale closed Friday, Nov. 6, 2009. All remaining books will be available for purchase for the minimum bid amount. Please contact Librarian Lisa Campbell, 540-687-6542 x 13 or lcampbell@nsl.org, regarding purchases. You do not need to be a current donor to purchase remainders.

Total amount:    $14,747*

Lot with the highest bid:  #18 – Set of 22 volumes of works by G. J. Whyte-Melville, 1898-1902.

Lot with the most bids (6):  #104 – Pictures of Horses and English Life by Sir Alfred J. Munnings, 1939.

The National Sporting Library & Museum's Duplicate Book Sale is an annual fundraiser for the Library's Acquisition Fund. The books sold are duplicates of items already in the library's collection. The book sale often includes items that are out of print and hard to find. The sale is run as a "silent auction" through the mail, allowing members of the National Sporting Library & Museum from around the world to participate.
