TO PRESERVE & SHARE

The National Sporting Library is a state-of-the-art research facility dedicated to the world of horse sports, shooting, and fishing.

Its collections are extensive, unique in both breadth and depth: more than 16,000 books line its shelves, including 17th-century manuscripts on equitation, private papers from renowned American and British sporting authors, oversized art books, and rare books on shooting and fishing, as well as newly-released fiction by best-selling authors. Current and back issues of English and American sporting periodicals are also available, with some complete runs dating to the 19th century. The archive collection consists of manuscripts, hunt diaries, scrapbooks, and photo albums, with rare editions housed in the F. Ambrose Clark Rare Book Room.

The Library also features an audiovisual center that stores films, videos, and other materials that visitors can view on a large screen in the Founders Room.
