The National Sporting Library collection includes more than 24,000 volumes on horse and field sports.


The Library also has collections of related fiction, such as the works of Will James, R.S. Surtees, and Irish lady writers Somerville and Ross.

Library Hours: Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m  

The NSLM is closed on federal holidays.
In the case of bad weather, the NSLM follows Loudoun County
school district decisions.

National Sporting Library and Museum, Middleburg, Virginia, Hosts Major Coaching Event

To commemorate the opening of the Museum, the NSLM  hosted a historic Coaching event during a weekend celebration October 7 - 9, 2011. There were  23 historic coaches participating in a pageant on Saturday, October 8, 10:00 a.m., at the Upperville Colt & Horse Show grounds, site of the oldest horse show in the country.
